Once Blinding Surge is finally nerfed for good, I could see that changing to some degree. Everyone and their mother uses Bsurge, so it's rather obvious why D/Rt is currently a superior build.

not realy, before bsurge mesmers there were blindbot e/mo's, blind will always be the most popular melee shutdown...

Obviously because 90% chance to miss is hard to pass by. But at the very least bflash require a more dedicated build. A D/Rt is blind proof, but it has a much harder time dealing with Wards and Aegis chain compared to a D/W. This is just the "Rock, Paper, Scissor" effect at work ... People favor Rock so Paper is the safer bet.
